"My training taught me the medical side of women's health care as well as how to help people feel better and live healthier. But there is another side to health care that can't be taught -- the side that appeals to emotions and feelings associated with health problems. In the years that I've been in practice, I like to think that listening to you, explaining all your options, and understanding your concerns is my real specialty."

Breast Cancer Survivor and Patient Advocate
"When I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2008, at age 47, it changed my world. I decided that no cancer was going to slow me down, and I continued to see patients in the office throughout my surgeries and chemotherapy. Always an advocate for women's health issues, I am even more passionate about ensuring access to quality care for all women, especially those diagnosed with breast cancer. My experience has put me in contact with experts in Northern California so I can help you get the most advanced treatments available. I am available to speak with breast cancer survivors and women newly diagnosed, even if they are not my patients, and am active in fundraisng efforts like Susan Komen Race for the Cure and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. "When a patient entrusts her medical care to me, it motivates me to do whatever it takes to make her well and comfortable. I will take the time to communicate and listen to my patient. I will go the extra mile to be there for her. It is the doctor/patient relationship that is the heart of why I became a physician. I believe it is the value that I place on this relationship that sets me apart from other physicians."
